5. Mpape Crushed Rock (Mpape, Abuja)

18.5km (25mins drive) from Aso Garden Estate, Karsana is 'Crushed Rock' an abandoned quarry located in Mpape, Abuja. Closed since 2010 however recently opened, it has become a popular location for tourists and locals in the city. The lake and high cliffs make it an attractive hiking location and picnics.

Built in 1990, it is one of the four operating dams that supplies the city with drinking water. A lot of fun activities are carried out there which includes hiking, boat riding, picnics and swimming. Jabi Lake is a water body formed from a man-made earth dam.
